TECA

SCOPE:

Time: March – September 2024

Scope: Strategic Planning + Corporate Fundraising

Location: Nashville, TN

CONTEXT:

TECA is a returning client, and we’ve partnered with them on multiple occasions. For this scope, we worked closely with their team to build their second strategic plan, emphasizing programmatic growth and metrics as they seek to scale across TN. We also helped them raise money for their annual fundraiser by increasing corporate outreach by 117% and brokering 20+ meetings with prospective corporate partners.

MyVillage Project

SCOPE:

Time: October 2023 – April 2024

Scope: Strategic Plan + Sponsorship Guide

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

CONTEXT:

We partnered with MVP to help them build their first-ever strategic plan. We created additional resources to guide their growth expansion across Florida. These additional resources included:

  • A sponsorship guide for the corporate community
  • An interactive budgeting tool
  • A board matrix to help identify board members to fill key needs

Carolina Youth Coalition

SCOPE:

Time: April – September 2023

Scope: First Strategic Plan

Location: Charlotte, NC

CONTEXT:

We partnered with the Carolina Youth Coalition to build their first strategic plan. Our partnership focused on helping the organization grow amid their capital campaign and during a real estate expansion as they secured an additional building to accommodate their growth throughout Charlotte.

GardHouse

SCOPE:

Time: October 2021 – March 2022

Location: Charlotte, NC

Scope: Our team was responsible for creating Garhouse’s first-ever strategic growth & implementation plan. We leveraged our unique process to gather insights, test themes, and build an action-focused plan to ensure long-term sustainability and programmatic success for Gardhouse.

RESULTS:

Results: The Board unanimously approved the strategic plan. Also, Gardhouse secured $125,000 of funds within six months of completing the strategic plan. By 2025, Gardhouse will create 100 paid internships for college students of color and increase the intern’s collective net worth by $50,000.

Profound Gentlemen

SCOPE:

Time: August 2020 – March 2021

Location: Charlotte, NC

Our team was charged with supporting the development and creation of Profound Gentlemen’s second strategic plan. Our deep understanding of PG‘s work and model enabled us to focus on helping PG identify priority regions to further develop their earned revenue lines of business.

RESULTS:

Results: The new strategic plan was fully approved by the board of directors PG also confirmed key metrics from its first strategic planning, including increasing the number of gentlemen served by 73%, and increasing their earned revenue services back 8,000%

United Way of Greater Knoxville and the Knox Education Foundation

SCOPE:

Time: January 2022 – May 2022

What: Community Schools Assessment + Decision Making Framework

Location: Charlotte, NC

Scope: This joint project between the United Way of Greater Knoxville and the Knox Education Foundation focused on building a decision-making framework to identify the best organization to lead schools throughout the community. Our team utilized our data-driven strategic implementation process to engage stakeholders, conduct research, and facilitate change management processes to build a decision-making framework for these organizations. 

RESULTS:

Results:

  • The United Way of Greater Knoxville’s (UWGK) Board of Directors unanimously approved SchermCo’s recommendation to take leadership of the 17 Community Schools in Knoxville.
  • As a result, UWGK will now be the sole leader of community schools throughout Knoxville, leading 19 schools that serve 7,700+ students throughout their community.
