Part Time Associate, Family Empowerment

The specs:

  • We will be expanding our family empowerment work to serve schools and families in Guilford County during the 2024-25 school year
    • This is a pilot project, and we will be supporting two schools in Greensboro and another two schools in High Point
  • This position will work directly with our Family Empowerment Team to support our schools, families, and community partners with key aspects of our family empowerment model
  • This person will report to the Director of Family Empowerment 
  • Utilize data to drive the planning of family-focused events and empowerment series that also provide resources for scholar achievement and economic mobility (specifically, workforce development for adults)
  • Support with data collection and analysis aligned with the goals of the program
  • Facilitate meetings with school partners, families, and community partners
  • Document key learnings, processes, and data for reports
  • Provide business development support to earn partnerships with additional schools, districts, charter networks, and/or family-focused organizations
  • Contribute creative input and ideas in brainstorming sessions in an open and fun team environment
  • Participate in frequent check-ins with SchermCo Foundation team members to gauge progress
  • Additional project and program support, as needed
  • This is a part-time position with evening/weekend responsibilities as needed in support of our school partners
  • This position is based in Guilford County, North Carolina

Experience / Results

  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and/or additional degrees preferred but not a requirement
  • Experience working directly with schools and families via schools or other organizations preferred
  • Regardless of years of experience, candidates should be able to display quantifiable evidence of results from previous positions

Physical Demands

  • The employee must be able to actively lift and or move up to 10 lbs. on occasion

Compensation:

  • Estimated $8,000 total compensation
